How is your marriage making you feel at the moment? 

Are you happy with your current circumstances? 

If you aren’t happy, then do you know how to fix your problem? 

These are some of the questions that I had asked myself so many times in my early marriage years. I was not happy, but neither did I know how to fix my marriage. 

I had to work hard to reconstruct my marriage from ‘almost divorced’ to ‘forever happy,’ but even so, none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t that God had intervened.  

I prayed for my marriage to be resurrected for two years before God decided that it was the right time to heal my marriage.  

Many times we do not know how to resolve the issues that occur in our marriage. I didn’t know how to fix it or what to do, but I decided to take the God route, as He was my only hope to improve my marriage. 

Sometimes it will take time. In my case, I had prayed for two years. During those years, God had shown me all my shortcomings and what I needed to change to be a good wife. He gave me clarity on what I need to do to fix my marriage. 

Know that God’s timing is always right. Don’t expect the problems in your marriage to change overnight. God will come through at the time that it is perfect for you. All you need to do is trust in him and live the way He wants you to live.  

If your marriage is currently in a rocky place, know that you are not alone. God is there. I had only seen afterwards all the blessings that God had sent my way while I was in my unhappy marriage 

God would never give you anything that you cannot handle. The bumps in the road are given to us in order for us to grow and evolve as humans. It is not to bring us down and make us feel bad. It’s to build our strength and determination to elevate and grow closer to God. 

If you make it through the storm, then out comes the sun. Have faith in your marriage and have faith that God will help you gain the clarity you need.
